Rich text editor - Spell Check - Quick Screen Capture - Hyperlinks - Freeware software

Jarte is a great freeware text editor, it allows you to open and save documents in DOC, RTF and TXT format. Its fast to load, really simple to use and absolutely brilliant for writing text used in Web pages. I have found its spell checker accurate and the Screen capture feature so fast and easy to use that I can also produce DOC documents way faster that MS Office or any other heavyweight programs that clog up your memory and hard drive. The Capture feature allows you to save clips and build up a library you can draw from at any time

Jarte has plenty of other features too, with all the usual Text and Paragraph formatting tools and handy Email tools. The interface is tidy, modern and uncluttered giving you the option to view Tools using the down arrow on the left of the page.

The program prints to a printer very fast as well, with the formatting and layout as good as any word processor. For most of the tasks I need it does a great job and I use it for 90% of all my writing. I can be up and writing using Jarte before the heavyweight programs have even loaded.

I nearly always have it open in the background and use it for preparing all the text for my web sites. I write a lot of stuff every day including Hubs like this one. It took me quite a bit of searching and a lot of testing some pretty horrible programs before I found Jarte. So I thought I would pass on this information in the hope I can make your life a little simpler.
